Apple wasn’t the first computer platform-holder to adopt Arm silicon, as Microsoft and its partners have offered Windows on Arm laptops for a while now. But the Cupertino firm certainly made a big splash with its first Arm-powered computers, featuring its M1 chipset.
We saw three Arm-powered Apple computers in the Mac Mini, Macbook Air, and Macbook Pro, and the latter has just received a modest price cut via B&H Photo Video for Black Friday. More specifically, the new 13.3-inch Macbook Pro can now be had for $1,199 instead of $1,299.
Again, this is a rather small discount, but it’s certainly worth jumping on this if you were planning to buy the new laptop anyway. And it definitely looks like a massive upgrade for both Macbooks and PCs in general.
Apple claims that the new Macbook Pro delivers up to 17 hours of web browsing and 20 hours of video playback. Meanwhile, the most recent Intel-powered 13-inch Macbook Pro touts 10 hours of web browsing and 10 hours of video playback via the Apple TV app. Other noteworthy new Macbook Pro features include 8GB of RAM, 256GB SSD, a touch bar, fingerprint scanner, and Wi-Fi 6.
