- Montblanc has announced the availability of its Summit Lite smartwatch in the US.
- The Montblanc Summit Lite packs a recycled aluminum body.
- It’s also powered by the Snapdragon 3100 SoC, features custom health apps, and runs on Wear OS.
After making its debut in Europe earlier this year, the Montblanc Summit Lite is finally available in the US. The latest Wear OS smartwatch from the German luxury brand intends to target wealthier fitness and sustainability-conscious consumers with the Summit Lite.
Aesthetically, the Montblanc Summit Lite is an understated, unexciting smartwatch. This is a good thing if you love minimalist design, and there are plenty of other smartwatches for those wanting more flash. The Summit Lite wears a 1.19-inch AMOLED 390 x 390 display slathered in Gorilla Glass up front. It’s mounted in a 43mm recycled aluminum and stainless steel case, while strap options include rubber or fabric in four color variations.
Two “pushers” jut out from the Summit Lite’s right-hand side, flanking a central rotating crown. This little nub should make navigating Wear OS menus and notifications a little quicker.

Internally, a 400mAh battery powers the Summit Lite’s Snapdragon 3100 SoC. Although it shares silicon with its older sibling, the Summit Lite has a smaller battery than Montblanc’s previous device, the Summit 2 Plus. This is largely owing to the Lite’s smaller case and footprint. It also features 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage, and 5 ATM water resistance.
The usual smartwatch features apply, too. The Summit Lite packs NFC for Google Pay, GPS for runners and cyclists, and a heart rate monitor. Montblanc also preloads the watch with a number of its own apps. Cardio Coach keeps track of VO2 max and makes recommendations to training regimes, while Body Energy tracks “mental and physical exhaustion” using activity and sleep data. Finally, dedicated sleep and stress monitoring apps also feature.
Montblanc Summit Lite: Price and availability
The Montblanc Summit Lite goes on sale in the US from April 22, and will set you back $860 via the official website. By comparison, the watch is available from Montblanc’s European store for €815 (~$978).
As far as luxury Wear OS smartwatches go, that’s a pretty hefty price tag. But it’s largely true to form for Montblanc smartwatches. The original Summit made its debut in 2017 for $890. The Summit 2 Plus arrived last year at Verizon for $1,170, although it did pack LTE support.
Nevertheless, Montblanc will hope its name, new eco-slant, and bespoke apps can lend the Summit Lite some sales success. But what do you think of the watch? Let us know in the comments below.
