Modern smartphones usually pack multiple rear cameras to tackle various scenarios. Sure, the primary shooter often uses the best sensor and more impressive tech, but it still might be lacking in certain conditions. For coverage, phone makers add ultra-wide and telephoto cameras to their devices’ ability set.
Ultra-wide shooters are great for capturing landscapes, tight spaces, or additional context alongside your subject. Telephoto shooters, meanwhile, bring distant subjects closer. Of course, both have their negatives, but together, they’re complimentary. But if you had to pick just one, which would you choose? Would you rather have an ultra-wide camera or a periscope/telephoto snapper on your smartphone?
