- Samsung has added a Routine Plus module to Good Lock that lets you craft advanced Bixby commands.
- You can reassign buttons, set macros, and more.
Samsung just made Good Lock more useful, particularly if you wish you could wring more use out of Bixby. As Android Police reports, the company has released a new Routine Plus module for Good Lock that adds a raft of new features to Bixby’s shortcut system.
A location-based quick access feature, for instance, lets you change the behavior of physical keys based on certain conditions. Location is one, but you can also use existing factors like existing apps. Samsung has also introduced a touch macro function that records on-screen actions for Bixby to perform later. You could open the Play Store and check for app updates with a single command.

You can also expand S Pen functionality for the Galaxy Note (sorry, S21 Ultra fans) by assigning tasks to Air Actions. Likewise, Samsung has made the fingerprint reader more useful by letting Bixby launch apps or perform actions when you sign in with a specific finger. Running low on battery? You can tell your phone to speak a custom phrase.
It’s easier to share your creations, too. You can quickly send Bixby routines to other Samsung users by having them scan a QR code.
The new Good Lock module requires One UI 3.1 and won’t be available on every device. If you do have the right Samsung hardware, though, it should turn Bixby into a power user’s dream tool that speeds up common functions.
