- OnePlus could be working on its first tablet, according to a new trademark filing.
- Should it launch, the device will be called the OnePlus Pad.
- The design, specs, and feature details of the tablet are scant at present.
OnePlus is seemingly pondering an entry into the tablet market. The company has filed a trademark with the EUIPO (h/t MySmartPrice) for the OnePlus Pad moniker, hinting at the firm’s first foray into slates.
The filing, published on July 1, doesn’t shed much light on what a OnePlus Pad would include in terms of design, specs, or features. However, OnePlus’s intent on trademarking the title suggests extending its product lines beyond smartphones and wearables.
OnePlus Pad: A new tablet or a rebrand?
Per rumors, OnePlus wouldn’t be the only BBK brand working on a tablet. In June, we gained exclusive word of the Realme Pad, the brand’s forthcoming slate. Rumors of forthcoming Vivo and Oppo tablets have also emerged this year.
When factoring in OnePlus and Oppo’s recently announced closer relationship, it wouldn’t be a stretch to imagine that the two companies are working on a slate together. OnePlus fans likely won’t be too thrilled by this prospect.

It should be mentioned that the filing isn’t a slam-dunk confirmation of a forthcoming OnePlus tablet. The filing might be OnePlus staking its claim on the moniker.
