The eye-watering price tag was inevitable, but you can save up to $1,000 on the phone from AT&T with this trade-in deal. Over the life of your plan, the cost of the phone drops to $799.99 ($1,000 off).
You might assume that the maximum trade-in value would require trading in a flagship device, but you’d be wrong. There’s a wide selection of phones that attract the full discount — supposedly any phone which is worth more than $95. Examples include the Samsung Galaxy S9, the Google Pixel 4, and the OnePlus 7T. More budget phones can still attract a $350 price drop.

Extra savings for America’s best
On top of the other AT&T deals, you can save a bit more on your wireless plan if you’re in one of several professions. Military, veterans, first responders, nurses, physicians, and teachers can all benefit from this offer, which provides a 25% discount on any of the unlimited plans.
For example, a police officer can sign up for the AT&T Unlimited Starter plan for just $48.75 per month, rather than the usual $65. As with the rest of the population, this price per line drops further if you add multiple lines to your account.
Save 25% on the Unlimited Plus plan with AutoPay
Along with the three unlimited plans that AT&T offers to any old punter, there’s a special, online-only plan called Unlimited Plus. It’s the cheapest way to go unlimited with the carrier if you use AutoPay, as that gives you a 33% discount. The price drops from $75 per month to just $50 per month.
The Unlimited Plus plan offers unlimited data which may slow above 22GB of use per month.
